‘Bulgaria is Azerbaijan’s trusted ally’

“Bulgaria is a trusted ally of Azerbaijan,” this idea was stated at “Business Starts” program aired on Bloomberg TV Bulgaria, which focused on Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov’s recent visit to Azerbaijan and launch of Baku-Sofia-Baku air route by “Buta Airways” realised according to President Ilham Aliyev’s instruction. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Bulgaria Nargiz Gurbanova was one of the guests of the program where Azerbaijani-Bulgarian relations were discussed.
The sides on “Business Starts” program agreed that Azerbaijan is not only a friendly country for Bulgaria but also is a strategic partner.
During the program it was mentioned that “Buta Airways” company is the first low-cost airline outside EU that makes direct flights to Bulgaria. 16 thousands Azerbaijani tourists have visited Bulgaria in 2016.
Azerbaijan’s tourism potential, opportunities for further growth of the touristic relations between the two countries was the target of the TV program.
The parties stated that direct flights from Baku to Sofia will not only serve for the progress of touristic relations but also boost the level of business ties.
