CASPIAN SHIPPING COMPANY OWNS TANKER ‘PROFESSOR AZIZ ALIYEV’

Tanker ‘Professor Aziz Aliyev’ built on the shipbuilding plant ‘Krasnoe Sormovo’ in Nizhni Novgorod was transferred to the Caspian Shipping Company (CSC) of Azerbaijan, AzerTAj correspondent learnt from press-service of the CSC.

Tanker was built in the frame of the construction agreement on four tankers and envisaged for oil products transportation via Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) corridor. Carrying capacity of tanker ‘Professor Aziz Aliyev’ comes to 8 thousand tons and its dimensions are as follows: length - 141m, width- 16.9m, board height - 7.4m.

According to the shipping company, construction of the tanker ‘Jalil Mammadguluzade’ with 8 thousand tons of displacement is going on the dockyard ‘Krasnoe Sormovo’. Another two tankers with carrying capacity of 12 thousand tons each will be built at the ‘Krasnoe Sormovo’.

‘Professor Aziz Aliyev’ is expected in the port of Baku by end-August.
