Central Election Commission conducts regular session
Baku, Aug 30 (AZERTAC). The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan Republic conducted its next session under the chairmanship of Mazahir Panahov.
Firstly, the minutes of the Commission`s meeting dated 27 August were approved.
Later, the issue on the approval of the candidacy of Jamil Poladkhan oglu Hasanli nominated by the “National Council of Democratic Forces” in Presidential elections on 9 October 2013 was reviewed. The Commission made decision on the approval of Hasanli`s candidacy.
Gulagha Aslanli, Kerimkhan Zeynalov, Shahin Hasanov and Gozel Bayramli were registered as authorized representatives of Jamil Hasanli.
At the session, the text, format and preparation rules of notifications on informing voters on the place and date of the voting were approved and it was decided to publish 5,150,000 notifications.
CEC also reviewed the issue on making amendments to the decision “On formation of Press Group in new structure under Central Election Commission”, dated 4 September 2008. A decision was made on making amendments to the Group involving the representatives of “Trend” Information agency, “Kaspi” and “Daily Telegraph” newspapers by considering the appeals of the heads of these media agencies.
At the session, current issues were also considered.
Representatives of international organizations and mass media took part at the session.
