Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims’ Office Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade headed to Saudi Arabia Saturday in a bid to induce the country’s Hajj officials to increase the national quota for Azerbaijani pilgrims, which is now 4,500.

Saudi Arabia sets quotas for pilgrims from each country and requires its citizens to register.

Mr. Pashazade will discuss the issue with Saudi Arabia’s Hajj Minister.

In Mecca, the Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims’ Office will also familiarize himself with the work done to provide accommodation for Azerbaijani pilgrims.
