Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Office attends 10th UNAOC Global Forum

Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, participated in the 10th UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Global Forum, themed “United in Peace: Restoring Trust, Reshaping the Future,” held on November 25-27 in Cascais, Portugal.
On November 26, Allahshukur Pashazade attended a dinner hosted by Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in honor of the forum participants.
During the forum, discussions took place with UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the role of religious leaders in global interfaith dialogue and prospects for cooperation with the UNAOC. Pashazade expressed his gratitude to the UN Secretary-General for his video message to the participants of the Global Summit of Religious Leaders held during COP29 and for his overall support for Azerbaijan leading up to COP29.
In addition, Allahshukur Pashazade held several meetings during the Global Forum. He discussed issues of mutual importance with Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, former President of Croatia, Dimitris Avramopoulos, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Waleed al-Khereiji, Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, and others.
