Chairman of Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly meets Governor of Turkey’s Igdir Province
Nakhchivan, May 1 (AZERTAC). Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov has today met new Governor of Igdir Province of Turkey Davut Haner.
Davut Haner congratulated Vasif Talibov on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Saying that he first visited the Autonomous Republic in 2001, he noted that Nakhchivan had been developing at a rapid pace ever since.
The new Igdir Governor said “this development is the result of the political course successfully carried out in Azerbaijan,”
He noted he would try his best to contribute to expanding bilateral ties with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Vasif Talibov hailed relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, particularly in the fields of politics and economics. “The relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are developing both in bilateral format and in international organizations.”
Vasif Talibov also stressed the importance of Nakhchivan`s ties with Turkey’s regions.
Turkish Consul General to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Ali Rza Akinci was present at the meeting.
