“Chambarakand” Park – A green paradise with city panorama VIDEO
Baku, April 9, AZERTAC
The next feature in AZERTAC’s “If I Were a Tourist” column turns the spotlight on “Chambarakand” Park.
“Chambarakand” Park, situated on Hasan Seyidbeyli Street in Baku, represents a harmonious integration of modern architecture and urban infrastructure. Covering four hectares, the park enriches the city’s green landscape with more than 50,000 rare trees and shrubs.
The park’s most notable architectural element is a 147-meter-long pedestrian bridge constructed atop an overpass. This bridge, along with two spacious terraces offering panoramic views of the city, enables visitors to experience Baku’s scenery from a unique perspective. Retaining walls, engineered to accommodate the park’s intricate topography, ensure safety while complementing the park’s overall design.
Equipped with modern fountains, dining options, and sports facilities, the park provides residents with opportunities for enjoyable and purposeful leisure. Established under the President’s initiative, the park not only reflects the country’s socio-economic development strategy but also contributes significantly to Baku’s urban landscape.
