CHINA INTENDS TO JOIN ENERGY PROJECTS IN AZERBAIJAN

China handed proposals on possible involvement of Chinese companies in two large projects in the territory of Azerbaijan over to the Embassy of Azerbaijan to this country, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to China Yashar Aliyev told March 31 press-conference. According to him, Chinese energy men offered to render assistance in reconstruction of Mingachevir hydroelectric power stations and construction of large electric substation in the north of Azerbaijan with simultaneous construction of transmission lines. Total amount of two projects makes up 35-40 mln dollars.

For today, negotiations on participation of China in modernization of power units of several hydroelectric power stations on the territory of the republic are going on.
