China sends Venezuela 80 tons of earthquake relief materials

Emergency humanitarian earthquake relief supplies departed from Beijing Capital International Airport on Sunday night destined for Venezuela, according to China Daily.
Carried by an Air China Cargo freighter, flight CA1097 — operated with a Boeing 747-400F all-cargo aircraft — took off at 10:48 pm, carrying more than 80 metric tons of relief materials provided by the Chinese government, including tents, blankets, emergency water purification vehicles, solar lamps, mist sprayers, and power generators.
Air China Cargo said it arranged flight operations, aircraft maintenance, and loading and ground services for the long-haul mission. The company assigned a six-member crew and support personnel to help coordinate the transport and overseas handling of the supplies.
The shipment followed a strong earthquake that struck Venezuela on June 24, causing casualties and property losses. China previously provided emergency humanitarian cash assistance to support the country's disaster relief efforts.
