Chinese ambassador visits AzerTAc
Baku, December 5 (AZERTAC). Ambassador of China to Azerbaijan Hong Jiuyin has visited today Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) where he met Director General Aslan Aslanov.
The Director General briefed the Chinese ambassador on the history of AZERTAC, national leader Heydar Aliyev`s care and attention to development of the agency. Aslanov also spoke of Azerbaijan`s increasing prestige across the world under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He added Azerbaijan had become a leader in the region. “All these achievements have created new opportunities for expansion of international relations of AZERTAC, which entered the global news community.”
Aslan Aslanov also praised Azerbaijan-China relationship in all fields. He said cooperation between the two countries` national news agencies was developing as well. The Director General described the photo exhibition launched in AZERTAC on the 20th anniversary of establishment of Azerbaijan-China diplomatic ties as a sign of friendship between the two countries.
Aslanov noted AZERTAC and China`s Xinhua News Agency had close cooperation. “The two organizations conduct exchange of experience. Xinhua has an office in Baku and AZERTAC has an office in Beijing.”
Aslanov said the two agencies are members of the Bureau of the Organization of Asian and Pacific Ocean countries News Agencies (OANA).
Ambassador Hong Jiuyin stressed the importance of exchange of news in expansion of relations between the Azerbaijani and Chinese peoples. He said relationship between AZERTAC and Xinhua contribute to Azerbaijan-China ties.
The diplomat also said the exhibition, launched in AZERTAC serves development of friendly relations between the two countries. He expressed confidence that this exhibition would create opportunities for Azerbaijanis to closely become familiar with culture and art of Chinese people.
