Construction of the Alat seaport will be started next year, deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov said. Talks with the Korean “GS Engineering & Construction” are underway to move the Baku seaport. The company has submitted the new seaport construction project to the Ministry. The feasibility study of the new airport will have been prepared by the end of the year.

The first stage of the seaport construction is scheduled to end by 2010, deputy Minister said.

According to him, Baku seaport will be moved in three stages. The seaport construction is estimated to cost $396 million.
