COOPERATION IN MIGRATION QUESTIONS TO BE DISCUSSED AT CIS INTER-PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY
The RF’s Federation Council offers to include in the agenda of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) the question concerning cooperation of the CIS countries in the migration issues. Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan backed up the suggestion.
It is supposed, that in the framework of CIS PA, the special working group will be set up. The Group will comprise members of parliament of these countries and representatives of migration services of the CIS countries. The working group will exchange views on migration situation, analyze it and conduct monitoring and study corresponding legislations of this or that country. In Council of Federation, it is considered, that due to work of the given working group, the countries can promote very seriously in solution of this question and coordinate practical activities with legislative base, unify the legislation in this area. It is marked, that in the field of the civilized migration it is necessary to be engaged in questions of cooperation in advance, and this theme is very demanded. Discussion of the mentioned topic at level of executive and legislature power will allow studying how is the situation in Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries in this field.
Spokesman of the Council of Federation also emphasized, that the given question was discussed with parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan led by Vice-Speaker of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan on May 24 current year in Moscow.
