DELEGATION OF AZERBAIJAN EMBASSY TO AUSTRIA VISITS SLOVENIA
The delegation of Azerbaijan`s Embassy to Austria led by Ambassador Fuad Ismayilov has visited Slovenia.
During the trip, the delegation met with Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces Branimir Furlan and deputy head of Defense Policy Agency of the Defense Ministry Janco Stekh to discuss prospects for boosting bilateral cooperation.
Azerbaijan`s new military attache to Slovenia Kamil Guliyev was introduced to Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
The Azeri delegation also met with Chairman of the Slovenian National Assembly`s Committee on Foreign Policy Jozef Jerovsek and head of the Department of International Relations Tanja Pandev to explore ways of enhancing interparliamentary relations between the two countries.
The delegation`s meeting with State Secretary of the Ministry of the Economy Tomaz Jersic discussed several issues, including enhancing bilateral economic relations, increasing trade and arranging visits by Slovenian businessmen to Azerbaijan.
The Azeri delegation met with State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Jelka Pirkovic and discussed arrangement of joint meetings, exhibitions and concerts.
The delegation also held meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during which they discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation as well as the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
