DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF PARLIAMENT MET JOURNALISTS FROM SAUDI ARABIA
Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Parliament Bahar Muradova met a group of journalist from Saudi Arabia on April 25. B. Muradova briefed the media representatives about the history of Azerbaijan’s statehood and parliamentarism, its friendship relations. She said relations are developing between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which have the same religious and similar culture. “Today Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia successfully cooperate within the international organizations, they hold the same position regarding some principal issues”, added Deputy Chairman of the Parliament.
Then B. Muradova informed the visitors about political, economical reforms implemented in the country, achievements of Azerbaijan in the field of democracy, human rights, freedom of press.
Thanking for the hospitality, Saleh bin Muhammad al-Xaslan, head of the delegation, said that processes going in Azerbaijan are attentively followed in Saudi Arabia. The journalist stressed that there is a great interest in this country. “Growing role of Azerbaijan in international arena, strengthening its position is the focus of attention”, he underscored.
He said the main purpose of journalists’ visit is to get detailed information about Azerbaijan. Then, an exchange of views was conducted on some questions of common interest and B. Muradova answered the questions of journalists.
