EANA convenes in Madrid
Madrid, April 10 (AZERTAC). Media leaders from across Europe have gathered in Madrid, the capital of Spain, to discuss pressing issues of the industry.
Hosted by the Spanish news agency AGENCIA EFE, the annual conference of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) was themed News Content for New Platforms Partnerships and Cooperation.
Director General of Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) Aslan Aslanov attended the conference.
Peter Kropsch, EANA President, made opening remarks and provided an introduction into the agenda of the event.
Chaired by Clive Marshall, CEO, PA Group, the first part of the conference featured presentations titled News and Social Media; Twitter and News, Cooperation with News Agencies; Digital News Media and the News Agencies: how we do it at El Huffington Post; Video as a content strategy and a future business for online newspapers; The survival of the news agencies and audiovisual development.
The second part of the conference, chaired by Mr Jiri Majstr, Director General, CTK, featured presentations by BELGA, NTB, Globelynx, and Anadolu Agency.
On the sidelines of the Conference participants attended an event to celebrate EFE´s 75th anniversary.
On the second day of the event media leaders attended MINDS International conference.
It featured presentations by Clive Marshall, CEO, PA Group, and Wolfgang Nedomansky, Managing Director, MINDS International.
Following the conference heads of the European news agencies visited the new building of AGENCIA EFE.
