EANA DELEGATION VISITS ALLEY OF HONORS
Visiting Azerbaijan at the invitation of AZERTAC, representatives of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) including Secretary General Eric Nylen and member of the Bureau, president of the Hungarian News Agency (MTI) Matyas Vince Tuesday honored memory of founder of the modern Azerbaijan, nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and put flowers on his tomb at the Alley of Honors.
The guests put flowers on the tomb of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, too.
Later, they arrived at the Martyrs Avenue to commemorate memory of the brave sons of Azerbaijan who fell for the territorial integrity and independence of the country.
Mr. Eric Nylen and Mr. Matyas Vince viewed the Eternal Flame and the panorama of Baku.
Mr. Aslan Aslanov, AZERTAC Director General informed the guests about the history of the Martyrs Avenue, as well as the history of struggle for soverognty and independence in Azerbaijan after the soviet power collpased.
