EANA MEMBERS VISIT INTERNATIONAL EURASIAN PRESS FUND
Representatives of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) including Secretary General Eric Nylen and member of the bureau, President of the Hungarian News Agency (MTI) Matyas Vince today have visited the International Eurasian Press Fund (IEPF).
Head of the fund Umud Mirzayev noted that IEPF, which had been founded in 1992 as non-governmental organization deals with the problems of mass media, refugees and IDPs. The Fund carries out the conferences, the round table discussions with the participation of mass media representatives, said Mr. Mirzayev.
The guests were in detailed informed about News Agencies of Azerbaijan. Mr. Mirzayev stressed that difference of the State Telegraph Agency of Azerbaijan - AZERTAC from other country’s news agencies is its history, staff, financial and technical basis, and relations with the foreign mass media. Head of IEPF emphasized that AZERTAC plays an important role in bringing the realities of Azerbaijan to the world community. And EANA can find strong partner in the South Caucasus by admitting the State Telegraph Agency as a member.
In his turn, Mr. Matyas Vince highly valued the Russian and English departments of AZERTAC.
