“ENERGY SAFETY IN EURO-ATLANTIC SPACE” ANNUAL CONFERENCE HELD IN BAKU
The first annual “Energy Safety in Euro-Atlantic space” conference initiated by the Youth Organization of Yeni Azerbaijan party (YAP) was held in Baku’s “Park INN Azerbaijan” Hotel.
Representatives of youth organizations of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Canada, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Macedonia and Latvia took part at the event.
Addressing the conference, executive secretary of YAP, MP Ali Ahmadov, minister of youth and sports Azad Rahimov, ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Huseyn Avni Karslioglu and others stated that such meetings play important role in expansion of dialogue among civilizations. As noted, today, unification of the world youth around the idea of peace and security is of great importance. It is difficult to estimate the role of the youth in fighting terrorism, in the cause of protection of safety.
Also was noted that aggressive policy of Armenia against Azerbaijan, threatens peace and calmness in region. The conferees stressed necessity of finding ways to solve similar conflicts. They were recommended to deeper study the global conflicts occurred to possess energy resources.
Representatives of 7 countries have signed the Baku Declaration connected to establishment of International Movement “Young Leaders For Peace and Security Over The World”, and a protocol on friendship and cooperation between the Youth Organization of YAP and the Union of Youth of the Republic of Belarus.
