EUROPEAN HUMAN RIGHTS INSTITUTIONS TO GATHER IN ATHENS
The 4th Round Table of European National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights will be held in Greek capital, Athens, on 27-28 September, press service of the Azerbaijan Ombudsman Office said.
Azerbaijan will be represented by the Commissioner for Human Rights Mrs. Elmira Suleymanova.
The conference, which is organized by the Greek National Commission for Human Rights and the European Council’s Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights, will bring together the heads of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs).
Participants will discuss new opportunities at the European level for NHRIs, the role for NHRIs with respect to counter-terrorism legislation and practices, including the so-called rendition flights as well as other topics.
