A delegation of Azerbaijan consisting of Representatives of the Ministries of Economic Development, Health, Fuel and Energy, municipality of Sumgait and heads of a few private companies, was on visit to a Chinese Chunchin town at the invitation of that town’s heads between 14 and 21. The visit was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development.

On August 15, the delegation was received in the town hall of Chunchin, press service of the Ministry of Economic Development reports. Economic situation, business and investment opportunities, issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.

A friendship agreement was signed between a Chancin district of the town of Chuncin and Sumgait on August 16.

The delegation of Azerbaijan took part in a meeting with leaders of Chuncin and heads of 40 Chinese enterprises. Favorable conditions for entrepreneurship and economic development, success in this field were key issues of discussion at the meeting.

Between August 18 and 20, the delegation of Azerbaijan visited about 20 enterprises of Chuncin, held negotiations on bilateral cooperation.

During the trip, the delegation of Azerbaijan handed over investment projects embracing different fields of economy to the Chinese party.

At the meeting held in foreign economic relations department of Chuncin town, the Chinese party offered to open a representation of this department in Baku. Besides, a draft intention protocol between entrepreneurship development department of the Ministry of Economic Development and foreign relations department of Chuncin was submitted to the delegation of Azerbaijan.
