FIFTEENTH AZERBAIJAN INTERNATIONAL ICT CONFERENCE HELD IN BAKU
Baku, November 5 (AZERTAC). A conference has been held here today as part of BakuTel, the 15th Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition.
The event focused on communications market, communication system for mobile and stationary devices, application of modern technology solutions and other issues.
Opening the conference, Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technology Elmi Valizade briefed the participants on the goals of BakuTel exhibition which, he said, is a way to introduce new equipment and high technologies into the market, to begin lasting business cooperation and set up new business.
He said there is great interest in nanotechnology across the world, and that Azerbaijan has taken first steps in this sphere.
Deputy Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS, Director of UNDP Bratislava Regional Jens Wandel told of Azerbaijan`s achievements in ICT sector.
He expressed hope that “new ideas will be voiced during the conference”.
Vahid Mursaliyev, official of the “Azercell Telecom”, sponsor of the event, spoke of his company`s new projects.
The event participants also heard some reports on “Initiatives of Microsoft Azerbaijan and importance of innovative development”, “Information Technologies and Telecommunications infrastructure: Balancing on the wave of technological innovations”, “E-Management Solutions: E-Document and E-Signature”, Electronic Document Management System, Solutions for efficient business development”.
