FIRST LADY MRS. MEHRIBAN ALIYEVA VISITS LOKBATAN SETTLEMENT OF QARADAG DISTRICT
Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva was informed that construction of the Heydar Aliyev Museum here is nearing its end.
A marble bust of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev has already been erected in the Park.
Then, the first lady visited secondary school # 166 after National hero of Azerbaijan, shehid (martyr) Faiq Rafiyev, which had been constructed within the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s “New school for new Azerbaijan” program.
Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva laid a wreath at the foot of the bust to nationwide leader in the school’s foyer.
Then, the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation toured classrooms, computer rooms, library and sports complex in front of the school.
The first lady expressed her satisfaction with creation of separate heating system as well as with renovation of power lines and water pipe.
Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva also familiarized herself with the photo stand reflecting the state of the school before and after the repair work.
Afterwards, she addressed the school’s teaching staff and local residents:
“You know that the building of this school has been overhauled in a very short period of time - just over three months.
This is a very comfortable, warm, clean and light school.
I’m very glad that our children will henceforth go to such a school.
The program, implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, covers three more schools in Qaradag district.
I will familiarize myself with the work done in other schools too.
All the schools across our country will be reconstructed, new schools - at the same high level - will be built, and they will be equipped with modern information technologies.
I once again congratulate you, and wish the pupils health and success in the new school year”.
