FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS AMBASSADOR OF SPAIN
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the support during his activity in the country and fruitful cooperation. He also expressed hope for strengthening Azerbaijan-Spain mutually beneficial cooperation in the future. Highly appreciating Azerbaijan’s involvement in the European neighborhood policy, Mr. Camara noted that Spain as the EU member is very interested in cooperation of Azerbaijan with the Union. He also pointed out the importance of preparation of the documents related to making and encouragement of investments and elimination of double taxation. The Ambassador informed the Minister on expected arrival of Spanish businessmen in Azerbaijan.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic Elmar Mammadyarov appreciated the Ambassador’s role in development of relations and fruitful cooperation between the two countries, and noted he stands for expanding and strengthening bilateral relationship. Stressing that Azerbaijan is actively integrating into the Euro Atlantic structures, the Minister noted the debated held in the framework of the NATO Istanbul Summit and Individual Partnership Program in Brussels had been very successful for Azerbaijan to strengthen its cooperation with the Alliance.
During the meeting Minister Mammadyarov informed the Ambassador Camara in detail on the work done in relation to resolution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, as well.
In conclusion, he wished the Ambassador every success in his future activities.
