FOREIGN MINISTER OF AZERBAIJAN MET HEAD OF OSCE BAKU OFFICE
As was informed by AzerTAj, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov congratulated Mr. Maurizio Paves with new appointment and wished success in his activity in the Country.
IN the course of meeting, head of the foreign policy department of Azerbaijan said that he attaches great importance to cooperation with OSCE, also comprehensively updated on the socio-political situation in the country, on the ongoing reforms, on the one millions of refuges and IDPs who as a result of the Armenian aggression have been ousted from their homelands.
Ambassador Maurizio Paves stated that he would not spare his efforts to effectively continue the existing links between Azerbaijan and OSCE.
Mr. Maurizio Paves stressed that economic questions are one of the priorities in OSCE’s activity, as well as underlined the necessity of widening of cooperation in small entrepreneurship, tourism and other fields.
Noting that economic development is one of the major factors of the democratic reforms in the county, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan was keen in cooperation in this field.
The parties exchanged views on a number of other issues.
