Foster Wheeler, SOCAR discuss creation of joint company
Baku, June 15 (AZERTAC). Rovnag Abdullayev, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic met Tuesday with Umberto Della Sala, Chief Operating Officer and President of the Foster Wheeler AG, global engineering and construction contractor and power equipment supplier.
Abdullayev briefed the President on the SOCAR`s activity and future projects. He expressed hope that the two companies would expand cooperation.
For his part, Umberto Della Sala provided information about a project for the Aegean oil refinery that SOCAR is going to build in Turkey. He said Foster Wheeler AG is willing to create a joint engineering services company with the SOCAR.
SOCAR President Abdullayev noted the company plans to make its research and designing institute a world-class center. He pledged to consider the proposal on establishment of the joint company.
