FOUNDATION FOR EUROPEAN EDUCATION’S DELEGATES VISIT MILLI MAJLIS
Shamsaddin Hajiyev, Chairman of the Standing Commission for science and education of Milli Majlis (the Parliament of Azerbaijan) met July 18 with the representatives of the Foundation for European Education (FEE).
During the meeting, Mr. Hajiyev underlined that Azerbaijan attaches high significance to cooperation with the priority international organizations, including EU’s structures. He expressed satisfaction with the developing relations with ATF, its role in education, adding that Azerbaijan has joined the Bologna process and carries out the various projects in this way.
Chairman told of the new draft law “On Education”, which will be discussed during the Milli Majlis fall session.
Mrs. Eva Sicily, in her turn, told of the activity of the Foundation for European Education and the projects being implemented in the framework of this structure. Mr. Sicily said that the European Commission will implement 3 mln € project in the vocational education system of Azerbaijan, in January 2008.
The sides shared views on other issues of mutual concern.
