Your Excellency,
First, allow me to respectfully extend my sincerest congratulations for your brilliant re-election earlier this month. I trust it will strengthen the climate of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and France.
I am the Chief Executive Officer of Astrium, the largest space company in Europe, and world leader in particular in Observation and Communication satellites. Astrium is part of European Aeronautics & Defense Company, (EADS group).
As your may remember, I have had the honor of an audience with Your Excellency last April. On that occasion, we have discussed about a wide-ranging cooperation prospects between our Group and Azerbaijan and where delighted to learn about your vision for Azerbaijan to enter in partnership with a world leader in space activities with the aim to become a space nation.
In the meantime, we have studied potentials of Space Nation Building in Azerbaijan, by means of educating experts in Azerbaijan capable to deal with the country`s present and upcoming requirements in Space related projects, within the existing Education System in Azerbaijan.
As you will have heard, we are glad to have full clearance from the French Government to propose the latest technologies to Azerbaijan, allowing state-of-the-art resolution.
As such, I hereby request a new audience with Your Excellency, to allow me to present our proposals to make the most of these alternative technologies for the greater benefit of Azerbaijan.
