From Ion Iliescu, Former President of Romania
Dear Mr. President,
It gives me a great pleasure to address to You the warmest congratulations on Your re-election to the High office of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. By the result of the elections, I see the confirmation of how you have served and still serving your country and the interests of its citizens.
You may know that I had a special bond with your country, and I enjoyed the friendship of your father. Together we formed a lasting relationship between our countries. I am glad to see that they have evolved, and developed, for a mutual benefit. During my last visit to Baku, I was impressed by the changes I have seen in all the fields of activity.
Mr. President, I wish you success in the new mandate for the benefit of the Azerbaijani nation!
