Allow me to wish You every success as You lead Your nation forward in your third term as Azerbaijan`s President.
As you embark on Your third term as president, I have immense hope that Your victory marks a commitment to the continued expansion of personal, political, and economic freedoms of all Azerbaijanis.
Since establishing diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan in 1997, all facets of the US-Azerbaijan bilateral relationship - cultural, economic, and strategic - have deepened our ties and expanded opportunities for both our peoples. Your re-election offers an opportunity for the US and Azerbaijan to continue to build on a critical bilateral relationship, strengthening mutual cooperation in the areas of human rights support, the development of democratic institutions and processes, economic growth, counterterrorism, and regional security.
As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Congressional Azerbaijan Caucus, I look forward to working with You and Your government to further enhance the US-Azerbaijan relationship.
