Geneva hosts 42nd International Exhibition of Inventions
Baku, April 4 (AZERTAC). The 42nd International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is taking place from the 2nd to the 6th of April 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland.
It enjoys the patronage of the Swiss government, of the State and the City of Geneva and of the World Intellectual Property Organization, WIPO. Recognized as the world`s most important market-place for inventions, this exhibition is the ideal place to promote inventions.
The Geneva Exhibition has brought together more than 700 exhibitors from 45 countries - 1000 inventions, all exhibited for the first time here, presented by companies, inventors, universities, private and State institutes and organizations.
The International Jury of 85 specialists awards many prizes and distinctions each year.
About 60000 visitors from all five continents are attending the exhibition.
The inventions, all of which must be patented to go on show, range from the never-knew-you-needed-it to ultra-practical, and span the spectrum from low-tech to super sophisticated. Breakout successes from past editions include above-stage displays to translate operas, mobile scanners for shipping containers, and inflatable neck pillows for travellers.
