Geneva hosts EANA conference and General Assembly
Geneva, September 26 (AZERTAC). The European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) conference titled “News Agencies and licensing, piracy and copyright” and its General Assembly have been held in Geneva, Switzerland.
AZERTAC`s editor in chief of foreign news desk Nadir Ismayilov and head of socio-political news desk Javid Badalov attended the events on behalf of the agency.
EANA President Mr. Peter Kropsch delivered an opening speech at the conference.
Other speakers at the event included Vice President of the Associated Press Jim Kennedy, President of the Press Database and Licensing Network of Belgium Andrew Hughes, senior consultant of the Linked Content Coalition and Rigthscom based in London Godfrey Rust, Director of the EU Comission of internal market Kerstin Jorna, senior vice president of the German dpa agency Matthias Mahn, CTK Director General Jiri Majstr and PA Group CEO Clive Marshal.
The conference continued with a panel meeting and discussions. The panel meeting moderated by Editor-in-chief and CEO of Finland`s STT-Lehtikuva Mika Petterson featured speeches by TT editor-in-chief and CEO Jonas Eriksson, TASR Editor-in-chief Marian Kolar, APA CEO Peter Kropsch, dpa senor vice president Matthias Mahn and ANP CEO Guido van Nispen.
