GEORGIA`S NATIONAL HOLIDAY MARKED IN AZERBAIJAN
The Embassy of Georgia to Azerbaijan gave an official reception on the occasion of the Georgia`s State Independence Day, in Hyatt Regency hotel, on May 25.
Addressing the guests, Ambassador Nikoloz Natbiladze told of the significance of independence, Georgia has gained in 1991. "Georgia was subjected to the civil war, terror and separatism, but for today, the main issue is restoration of the territorial integrity", said Mr. Natbiladze.
On special role of cooperation between the Georgia and Azerbaijan, Ambassador underlined that friendship of the two nations has ancient traditions. “Presidents Mikhail Saakashvili and Ilham Aliyev attach particular attention to strengthening of friendship between our countries and nations”, said Mr. Natbiladze. Diplomat congratulated President and Azerbaijan nation with the Day of Republic, May 28.
Chairman of Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) Ogtay Asadov, in his turn congratulated Georgian nation with the momentous event.
MPs, Ministers, Ambassadors of the foreign countries in Baku, officials were present at the meeting.
