GERMAN BUSINESSMEN MAKE CONTRIBUTION TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF AZERBAIJAN

German-Azerbaijan Economy Assistance Union (DAWF), Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economic Development, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) held in Baku Azerbaijan-German day of economy, on May 21.

German Ambassador said his country was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan, noting President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Germany has given a new impetus to the development of relations between the two countries. The diplomat said the rapid development of Azerbaijan in recent years urged the businessmen of his country to take part in this process. AZPROMO President Emil Mejidov described the investment environment in Azerbaijan, the condition created for businessmen, the legislative framework in this area. It was reported that the last year trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Germany made 412.5 million dollars. This is a 70% increase compared to 2005.
