GOVERNOR’S VISIT TO CENTRAL ASIA ENDED
Visit of Saint Petersburg governor Valentina Matvienko to the republics of Central Asia – Kazakhstan, Kirgizistan and Turkmenistan came to the end.
The issue of expansion of the relations between Saint Petersburg and Astana was discussed at the meeting of Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan Suat Minbayev and mayor of city Temirkhan Dosmukhanbetov, AzerTAj correspondent reports.
Issue of development of the cooperation was touched on the meeting with Prime-Minister of Kirgizistan Nikolay Tanayev.
At the meeting held in Ashgabad, Valentina Matvienko and President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov appealed the scientists of Saint Petersburg to work out the new projects on use of solar energy system in Turkmenistan.
Agreement on expansion of the scientific-technical, economic and cultural relations was signed between Ashgabad and Saint Petersburg.
