GROUP OF AZERBAIJANI INTELLECTUALS GIVE PRESS CONFERENCE
A group included Azerbaijan`s Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary in Moscow, People`s Artist of Azerbaijan, professor Polad Bulbuloglu, Rector of the Baku Music Academy, People`s Artist of the USSR, professor Farkhad Badalbeyli, Rector of the Baku Slavic University, corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, professor Kamal Abdulla, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Union of Theatre Workers, People`s Artist of Azerbaijan, professor Azer Pasha Neymatov and Honored Engineer of Azerbaijan, businessmen Ilham Fataliyev. They told of their trip.
Polad Bulbuloglu called this trip as just a public diplomacy, adding that the main objective of the visit was to assist to find a peaceful solution to the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. International organizations propose to use the public diplomacy to settle the conflict. When the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted Armenia-related resolution, some recommendations were also given to Azerbaijan. One of the recommendations was to use public diplomacy.
It was stressed at the press conference that this trip cannot cast shadow on the political process. Speakers said, “We once more proved that Azerbaijan supports peaceful resolution of the conflict and takes advantage of every opportunity to achieve peace”.
