HARVARD TOPS LISTS OF BEST WORLD UNIVERSITIES
It's followed by two British schools, Cambridge and Oxford, in second and third, respectively. American schools MIT and Yale tie for fourth.
In all, the United States has 11 universities in the top 20 and Britain has four. The editor of the annual list said the presence of so many British and American schools shows the dominance of the English language in academics and business.
The Times newspaper in Britain compiled the rankings by asking more than 3,700 academics worldwide to name the best schools for research in their fields. It surveyed graduate employers around the world and also considered such factors as faculty-student ratio and a school's success in attracting foreign students and renowned academics.
