HEADS OF TURKISH SPEAKING NATIONS SECURITY BODIES MEET IN ISTANBUL
Enhancement of cooperation in fighting various manifestations of the transnational organized crime topped the meeting’s agenda.
Speaking on the subject “Ensuring Security in the International Transport Corridors and Transnational Energy Networks”, Minister of National Security of Azerbaijan Lieutenant-General Eldar Mahmudov described detection and prevention of possible threats to economic reforms and international projects underway in Azerbaijan, as well as of penetration of terrorists into the country’s economic infrastructure as priority of his Ministry’s activity.
He said separatist regimes and movements, “uncontrolled territories” and “hot spots” negatively affects not only political and economic situation in the countries they exist but also threaten the international energy and transport security as a whole.
In the course of the visit, Minister Eldar Mahmudov had a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts.
