IMF: Philippines’ economic growth to outpace ASEAN average

The International Monetary Fund expects the economy of the Philippines to grow faster than the average of countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Philippine News Agency (PNA) reported.
According to the latest World Economic Outlook, the Philippines’ economy is projected to expand by 5.6 percent in 2026 and 5.8 percent in 2027.
The fund noted that the growth outlook is supported by strong domestic demand, government investments, and the continued expansion of the services sector.
