INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ROLE OF ICT IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WRAPS UP
Baku, November 4 (AZERTAC). The first international conference “Digital Age and New Generation: Strengthening Capabilities and Capacities of Youth in ICT” has ended in Azerbaijan`s capital.
Co-organized by the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYFDC) and Azerbaijan Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the conference brought together young experts from OIC and European countries as well as representatives of ICT companies, scientific institutions and NGOs.
The conference featured sessions on a range of topics, including “Youth and Role of ICT in advancing International Campaigns”, “Youth entrepreneurship online” and “Youth organizations - cooperation in private sector”.
The two-day conference also culminated in the adoption of a Baku declaration entitled “The development of the youth in ICT sector” which will be sent to a gathering of Black Sea basin and OIC states` ministers.
At a closing event, professor, world renowned ICT expert Peter Brook made a report on the role of information technologies in media and business field.
A plenary meeting of the conference saw the launch of the “Justice for Khojaly” campaign initiated by the General Coordinator of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation , head of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s office in Russia Leyla Aliyeva.
The Korpu internet television of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies that will broadcast program on cross-civilization dialogue among the youth of Europe and Middle East was also presented during the conference.
