Israel sending medical delegation to hurricane-ravaged Jamaica
Baku, November 5, AZERTAC
At the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel is dispatching a medical delegation to Jamaica to support relief efforts following the devasation of Hurricane Melissa, according to TPS-IL. The team, coordinated by the Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs, includes around 30 doctors, nurses, and paramedics, led by Dr. Sefi Mendelovich and Prof. Ofer Marin.
They will operate in two hospitals treating evacuated residents and reinforce local medical teams. Israeli Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Raslan Abu Rokan, is also on site with a diplomatic team to coordinate aid.
