ISRAELI COMPANIES SET TO INVEST IN PROVINCES
“State program on socio-economic development of provinces of Azerbaijan (2004-2008)” has aroused a keen interest of the large non-oil companies in Israel. Main factors providing development of cooperation are similar climate conditions and geographical proximity. Relationship has huge potential. Israel is a well-developed in non-oil sector, and is situated not far from Azerbaijan. Transport infrastructure has been built between both countries. However, human factor cannot be ruled out ‘since many Jews from Baku now reside in Israel. Besides, both countries show interest in development of the non-oil sector. The companies engaged in agriculture and high technologies are more developed in Israel. Nowadays, Israeli companies show interest to cooperation with Azerbaijani companies in tourism, telecommunications, construction, infrastructure and agriculture. Attention to development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan inspires these companies. They are destined to arrange the processing and packing of agricultural products and its delivery to world markets.
11 big companies offered their services. These services mainly embrace the infrastructure, telecommunications, agriculture, including animal husbandry. Israeli companies are ready to invest to realization of promising projects in Azerbaijan.
