Israeli FM’s visit to Azerbaijan in spotlight of Jewish News Service
Baku, May 3 (AZERTAC). Jewish News Service has issued an article highlighting Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s recent visit to Azerbaijan. The article says the FM had several meetings with Azerbaijani officials, including with President Ilham Aliyev. The Agency notes the talks focused on the ways of expanding the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of high technologies and agriculture.
The article emphasizes the importance of Mr. Lieberman`s meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, saying that during the meeting the two discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, trade, scientific and humanitarian fields.
During the meeting, the Agency says, Mr. Lieberman hailed the role of the Azerbaijani Jewish community in expanding the relations between the two countries.
The article says the visit saw the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Israel sign a protocol on regular diplomatic consultations.
