JAPAN GOVERNMENT FUNDS ANTI-BIRD FLU MEASURES IN SABIRABAD, AZERBAIJAN
The inauguration of the Zone Veterinary Laboratory in the Azerbaijani city of Sabirabad took place October 11. The lab is part of the anti-bird flu measures project implemented under the Japan Government-funded Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project.
At the event, councilor at the Japanese embassy to Azerbaijan Hideomi Nakachima said that the grant agreement between the Japan embassy and Sabirabad veterinary lab was sealed in November last year. 400 thousand citizens will benefit from the $89,592 project.
Within the framework Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project, veterinary labs in six regions of Azerbaijan have been provided with modern equipment.
Chief of the State Veterinary Service Department Gadim Maharramov thanked the Japanese Government for the assistance.
