Kazakhstan adds new route to Europe

Kazakhstan will launch a new route to Budapest starting from May 27, Kazinform News Agency reported citing the Kazakh Transport Ministry.
The country’s SCAT air carrier will operate flights from Kazakhstan’s Shymkent to Budapest, Hungary, twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays by Boeing 737.
The new flight is expected to contribute to further development of trade and economic, business and tourism cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hungary.
SCAT Airlines is one of the largest airlines in Kazakhstan, headquartered in Shymkent. Its hub airports are located in cities such as Aktau, Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent. In 2015, the airline underwent an audit by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for compliance with the IOSA standard.
