KOREA KEEN ON INVESTING IN AZERBAIJAN ICT SECTOR
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies hosted a delegation led by the Korean Deputy Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy, Lee Jae Hoon. Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technologies Iltimas Mammadov spoke of the existing ties between Azerbaijan and Korea noting the importance of the investments made by the friendly country to various sectors of the Azerbaijan’s economy. He highly praised Korea’s intention to take part in the projects to be implemented in ICT sector of Azerbaijan, and the assistance provided to train local specialists in this field.
Lee Jae Hoon stated in his turn that Korea is keen on investing in energy, construction and other fields in Azerbaijan, and described the ICT sector as especially important in this regard.
The parties shared the opinion that intensive development of the Azerbaijan-Korea relationships and cooperation is of great importance for both countries.
