KURGAN GOVERNOR MEETS WITH AZERBAIJAN’S BUSINESS LEADERS
Governor of the Kurgan oblast of the Russian Federation Oleg Bogomolov met with Azerbaijan’s business leaders at the Baku Business Center Friday.Speaking at the event, Azerbaijani deputy Minister of Economic development Niyazi Safarov stressed the role of the Azerbaijani and Russian presidents in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Oleg Bogomolov said Azerbaijan’s economy is rapidly developing, adding this factor is the major reason why the Kurgan delegation is in Baku.
On Kurgan’s economic progress, the Governor said the Gross Domestic Product and industrial output saw noticeable growth last year.
Other speakers at the meeting included head of Kurganstalmost company Nikolay Parishev, deputy director of Kataysk nasos plant Dmitri Ionin and other Kurgan’s business leaders.
Later the same day, the Kurgan Governor visited the Baku Slavic University, where he met with its rector, teaching stuff and students, and familiarized himself with the Moscow center.
