KUWAIT DEMANDS LIBERATION OF OCCUPIED LANDS, KUWAITI FM Al-sABAH
Kuwaiti State Minister for Foreign Affairs Muhammad Al-Salim Al-Sabah said today at a joint press conference with his Azeri counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov that his country demands the fulfillment of UN Security Council’s 4 resolutions urging liberation of Azerbaijan’s occupied lands.
He said Kuwait is curios to boost the mutual ties with Azerbaijan.
“We have this year opened our embassy in Baku for the further development of ties. We have religious and historical ties. We are fraternal countries”, Al-Sabah underscored.
Kuwaiti FM said the two countries are true to the international legal norms, saying there is a good level of international cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait. He added that Azerbaijan supported his country when Iraq had occupied Kuwait.
The Minister said an agreement was achieved on promotion of dialogue among civilizations and joint combating islamophobiya.
Azeri FM E. Mammadyarov said Kuwait always supports Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
“We have discussed cooperation on new technologies, energy and transport”, E. Mammadyarov stressed.
Noting Berlin-Baghdad railway which was commissioned in the last century, Azeri minister said after the construction of Baku-Tbilsi-Kars railway, it will be possible to go directly to Iraq’s Basra city from Baku. He stressed that the Gulf countries are also interested in this project.
