LAWMAKERS DISCUSS THE BILL “ON EDUCATION”
Extensive meeting of the Parliament’s Standing Committees today focused on the Bill “On Education”.
In his remarks, head of the Science and Education Standing Committee, MP Shamsaddin Hajiyev noted that adoption of the new Law is very important and serious item for country. For short period, numerous state departments and institutions have made some 500 proposals for amendment in the said Law. All of them will be taken into consideration, Mr. Hajiyev underlined. At his words, now, the jurists are working on the final version of the Bill “On Education”.
One of the novelties of the Bill is that it provides freedom of choice for school leavers in specialty during submission of documents on results of tests.
Also the winners of numerous Olympiads and educational contests, sportsmen, taken prizes will be admitted to the higher schools without entrance examinations.
There are other changes and amendments in the Bill.
