LOCAL COMPANY WINS BTC CAMP CONTRACT
Another contract for catering along the pipeline was awarded to local company REM Service. REM Service will provide Catering and Maintenance Services for Temporary Camp Accommodation and Offices near Pump Stations in Yevlakh and Kurdamir. The contract was awarded by Spie Capag Petrofac International. REM Service is a local company established in 1994. The company specialises in catering and a whole range of maintenance services, including laundry, housekeeping, pest control, garbage collection and disposal.
The provision of catering services by REM Service will include staffing, supervision and management. The company will also be responsible for ensuring a balanced and nutritional diet suitable for all personnel, the food required, various consumables and cleaning materials. The company will also provide transportation services for all supplies to and from worksites.
“Although we have already contracts with such companies as McDermott, Caspian Business Center and Garadagh Cement, this is our first experience in working in camp facilities,” said Rafail Shirinov, the General Manager for REM Service. “I believe this challenge will bring valuable experience and knowledge and will enable us to strengthen our co-operation with many international and local companies.”
