MAIN EXPORT PIPELINE BAKU-TBILISI-CEYHAN FINDS NEW SUPPORTERS
The first meeting out of a series of the cycle of actions, held at the imitative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Financial Corporation (IFC), all its participants underlined the necessity of intensification of construction of the main export pipeline.
After the meeting, head of energetic department of IFC Reshad Kaldani stated to journalists that Baku-Tbilisi-Geyhan finds new supporters. He highly appraised the meeting held in the Polat Renaissance Hotel and said it was constructive. Due to construction of the pipeline, 400 people in Turkey will have permanent and 5000 - temporary job. Besides, the revenues of that country will come to 2.5 billion dollars.
Concerning the further financing of the project, Kaldani said, in October IFC will pass a resolution of allocation of 300 million dollars.
The next meeting on BTC project will be held on August 28 in a Turkish town of Adana.
